Next Meeting

Meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Meetings being at 6PM in the City Hall. All are welcome.

Meeting minutes can be download from here.

As the BAB works with the city to develop a master bike plan, existing bicycle route data is very important. It's especially important to understand where cyclists are riding today as they commute around the city.
That’s why we would like to follow you to work (or wherever you commute daily) and record your route. If you take a significantly different way home, we would like to follow you home (or close to it) too.
This means:
  • A BAB volunteer would meet you at a spot with in a mile from your house. We do not want to start or end at your actual house... but instead, at a near-by intersection of your choosing.
  • The BAB volunteer will track your route using GPS. The route information will be shared publicly. Your identification binding you to that route will not be public. The idea is that with enough data, the GPS tracks can be laid down on top of each other and some common commuter routes will emerge.
  • As noted above, if you take a different way home, we would also like to track that.

If you are interested in participating, please contact John at johnspeare@gmail.com

Go to the map to see the routes we've collected so far. We still want your route if you see it here; duplicate routes show trends. (If you're running a Mac, you must be running the Firefox web browser to view the map.)
